Workshop: Hedgehog habits and allotments
02 June 2018, 10:00 - 11:30 (Add to calendar)
Hedgehogs are a well-loved species, but one that is undergoing concerning declines. With the bulk of a hedgehogs diet being invertebrates such as caterpillars, beetles and slugs, hedgehogs are very much a gardener’s friend.
Allotments can provide a brilliant range of habitats for hedgehogs and easy actions can ensure hazards to this well-loved prickly species are minimised.
Join the Suffolk Wildlife Trust hedgehog officer Ali North to learn about the needs of hedgehogs, and how allotment holders can help this declining species. This will include an indoor talk and short walk around the allotment to look at habitats and signs of hedgehog.
