Wildlearning - Spring Birds

27 May 2018, 10:00 - 16:00 (Add to calendar)

Discover this beautiful reserve with local ornithologist Paul Holness, and learn to observe and identify the great variety of Spring birdlife.

During the day, you will learn how to identify visiting bird populations as well as resident birds in the varied habitats of Suffolk Wildlife Trust's beautiful Lackford Lakes reserve, with popular local birder Paul Holness. The migrants that visit Lackford Lakes boost species numbers significantly and May is a perfect time to get outside and to appreciate the wealth of birdlife enjoying the reserve. Suitable for beginners/less experienced.

As you will be outside for a large part of the day, please wear suitable clothing for the weather conditions plus stout shoes/walking boots.

Please bring:

binoculars if you have them
a packed lunch
a notepad, pens/pencils

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided and are included in the price, but as much of the time will be spent out on the reserve please bring any extra drinks you may require when away from the centre.
