Wildlearning - Autumn Bird ID

14 October 2018, 10:00 - 16:00 (Add to calendar)

Explore this beautiful reserve with local ornithologist Paul Holness, and learn to observe and identify the great variety of birdlife at Lackford.

Learn to identify visiting bird populations as well as resident birds in the varied habitats of this reserve. The late migrants that visit Lackford Lakes boost species numbers significantly and it really is a wonderful time of year to wrap-up and venture outside to appreciate the wealth of birdlife in Suffolk. Suitable for beginners/less experienced.

Paul is a popular local bird enthusiast and runs many successful courses for the Trust.

Please bring binoculars if you have them although some will be available to borrow from the centre. Please bring a packed lunch and wear suitable warm, weatherproof clothing and stout footwear. It will probably be muddy.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided and are included in the price, but as much of the time will be spent out on the reserve please bring any extra drinks you may require when away from the centre.
