Join Suffolk Wildlife Trust as we explore the beautiful and historic Christchurch Park and delve into a Wild Read!
This walking book club meets every other month on the last Thursday to discuss a different Wild Read. This month we will be reading Nature Cure by Richard Mabey. After we amble around the park we will stop for a drink and in the Woolpack for further chat and discussion.
Wild Reads is a partnership project between Suffolk Libraries and Suffolk Wildlife Trust to promote our connection between the natural world and the written word. The booklist has inspired a programme of events at reserves, libraries and other wild places across the county throughout the year.
The booklist includes, Wildling by Isabella Tree, Meadowland by John Lewis-Stempel, Nature Cure by Richard Mabey, Notes from Walnut Tree Farm by Roger Deakin, All among the barley - Melissa Harrison, Thinking on My feet by Kate Humble, The Wild Places by Robert MacFarlane, The Peace of Wild Things - Wendell Berry and The Overstory by Richard Powers.
£4 per person. Booking is essential. Drinks bought in the Woolpack are not included in the price.
