Stories from the Marshes - recording and sharing local history morning workshop for teenagers. Carlton Marshes.
21 March 2020, 10:00 - 13:00 ( Add to calendar )
Stories from the Marshes
(For 11-16 year olds)
An informal, fun workshop to help you find and shape your story. In these workshops you will have a chance to share and collect your different memories of the local Carlton and Oulton Marshes. Maybe you have memories of being a child playing on them? Or working the land? Or of family visits? We will use the time to capture and share stories from living memory. A great opportunity to share your story and learn about people’s experiences of the Marshes.
If you wish to share your memories with an audience there will potentially be an opportunity at our new visitor centre.
These workshops will be with Molly Naylor, a local writer, storyteller and poet. She is the co-creator of the sell-out storytelling event True Stories Live. Molly have performed her work all over the world including on Sky One and Radio 4.
A National Heritage Lottery Fund supported project.
Things to bring: memories/letters/photographs if you wish. Refreshments included.
