Lowestoft Record Office: Research workshop on Carlton Marshes and local history.

We will introduce the ‘Marsh stories of the past’ project, an introduction to archives sessions and archival research workshop using documents, photographs and maps of the local Lowestoft, Carlton Colville and Oulton Broad areas.

A chance to research your local area, look at photographs from the past and learn more about your local heritage in a relaxed, informal environment.

A collaboration between Suffolk Wildlife Trust and Suffolk Record Office.

Suffolk Record Office has created the ‘Sharing Suffolk Stories’ initiative to support people to delve into Suffolk archives to discover and share stories of the people and places that interest them.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust has begun its project to rejuvenate Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve, Lowestoft which includes habitat creation, making a new visitor centre and increasing community engagement.

A National Lottery Heritage Fund project.

Drinks and biscuits will be provided.

A course suitable for adults.
